Pastoral/Spiritual Nursing Programs

For Licensed Nurses Only

Are you looking for a way to integrate your spirituality with your nursing profession?

The Pastoral/Spiritual Nursing (PN&SM©)1 Program provides a way for nurses to integrate their spirituality with their nursing knowledge. A P.N. is a licensed nurse who senses a call to serve in a religious body, a hospital, or in a community center. By working in partnership with the organization, the PN's role would be to address the wholeness (physical, emotional, and spiritual) needs of the people. The primary purpose is to promote holistic health through prevention. Pastoral means one who provides overall spiritual guidance.

The Certified PH&SM©)2 is equipped to serve in the Chaplain Department position of the hospital's Pastoral Care Team.

PHM Function

The goal is to encourage people to grow in wholeness, which includes acquiring and maintaining their optimal level of wellness.
